Science Fiction Clothing - Coming to Life

In 1995, Science Fiction writer, Neal Stephenson wrote about nanofabric that stayed cleaned. He referred to fabricules as the self-cleaning fabric.

Now the U.S. Airforce has made Science Fiction come to life. There is a new technology which attaches nanoparticles to clothing fibers using microwaves. These chemicals will repel water, oil and bacteria, because they are directly bounded to the nanoparticles. These two elements combine to create a protective coating on the fibers of the material. This coating both kills bacteria, and forces liquids to bead and run off.

The U.S. Military spent more than 20 million to develop the fabric.

“During Desert Storm, most casualties were from bacterial infections – not accidents or friendly fire.” Jeff Owens, one of the scientists who worked to develop the process said.

They treated underwear of soldiers who worn them for several weeks and it was found to stay hygienic. Not only did the underwear stay clean, but it was also reported that it cleared up some skin complaints.

In 1951, there was a film called, “The Man in the White Suit.” This film had the general idea of clothes that never got dirty. In 1961, the Science Fiction writer, Stanislaw Lem, wrote about spray-on clothing, in his novel, “Return From the Stars.” In the Utopian world of the novel, life's necessities are readily available to every one – including single-use, original clothing.

Once again the science world brought science fiction to true life.

Fabrican is fabric in a can – yes, it's true. Spray on a shirt or dress, right out of the can. The fabric looks similar to a thin cotton teeshirt, but it's very clingy. Fabrican is the creation of Manel Torres, a post-graduate from the Royal College of Art.

This cloud of non-woven cloth is made by spraying a chemical formula directly onto the skin. Thousands of fibers splatter against your skin. The fibers bind together to create disposable apparel. It's as tough as hemp for some uses, or soft as silk for others.

As the future comes to us at warp speed, another idea in a novel is coming to life. In William Gibson's 1984 novel, “Neuromancer,” he writes: The Panther Modern leader, who introduced himself as Lupus Yonderboy, wore a polycarbon suit with a recording feature that allowed him to replay backgrounds at will.

A real-life polycarbon suit is the dream of Greg Sotzing of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs. He has developed threads of electrochromic polymers which change color in response to an applied electric field.

This is how it works:

A mixture of differently colored threads would be knitted or woven into a teeshirt or blanket, along with a small number of thin metal wires connected to a battery pack and a micro-controller. The crisscrossing wires effectively divide the shirt into pixels. Each colored thread changes its state at different voltages, so by varying the voltage between different pairs of wires you can change the color of each pixel. By connecting the controller to a camera, it could even be made to switch the pixels to display a pattern matching your surroundings.

Electrochromic polymers are colored because the electrons in their chemical bonds can absorb light across a range of visible wavelengths. When a voltage is applied it changes the energy levels of these electrons, causing them to absorb light of a different wavelength, and changing the material's color. When the voltage is reversed, the electrons return to their usual energies and the original color returns.

Leather Aprons

Hunting came naturally to early man and leather was thus the first kind of covering that he used. As man went on to use fibres made with other natural products, leather took a backseat as primary clothing. Instead, it came to be used for outer wear, to be worn over clothes and protect man from rain, snow and cold. It gradually came to be used for protection not just from the elements but also while performing various jobs.

The leather apron dates back several years and can be found to have been used by soldiers through the ages. Old paintings show a wide usage of leather aprons by soldiers. Evidence of its use is also found in several references in historical records. From 1740 onwards aprons came to be made with other materials and leather aprons were slowly relegated for specialised use. Rubber aprons are used in the chemical industry as protection against spillage of dangerous chemicals. Leather aprons were used while working with animals and doing any job that required intesnse heat.

They are used even today in certain industries and by people who handle animals. Animal trainers use leather aprons as it gives them adequate protection from bites, dirt and grime. These aprons are made with adjustable neck and waist straps. The neck band has extra padding to ensure it doesn't hurt the wearer's neck. Today, farriers who have replaced the traditional balcksmiths in servicing horses use leather aprons while going about their business. Leather aprons have their uses in the industrial arena too. Being very useful for ensuring safety of workers, certain industries get leather aprons custom made as per their requirements. Manufacturers of leather aprons can be easily located on the Internet.

Finding Yoga Clothes You Will Love

In this day and age, most of us want to become healthier, happier, fitter, and more spiritual. After all, we are now in the 21st century. The practitioners of yoga are probably on the forefront of leading the new spiritual revolution. The problem is that many people do not want to be spiritual at the expense of being cute. People think that it’s all right to try to be Buddha, but they do not want to look like him. This is the reason why many people including myself want to learn yoga while wearing cute yoga clothes.

In my opinion, it’s impossible to be spiritual without being fashionable at the same time. This may sound like a contradiction, but I don’t think that it’s a contradiction at all. After all, your interactions with other people will show the level of spiritual knowledge that you possess. You will not be able to share your spiritual experiences as readily if you do not wear clothing that flatters you and makes you seem accessible and appealing.

There are also no better places for cruising for young, attractive, and sensitive men or women than yoga classes. I always make sure that my inner state of bliss finds its counterpart in the experience of anyone who is looking at me when I wear my yoga outfit. To put it in simple words, I look hot in my yoga clothes.

You can usually find good yoga clothes in a specialty store but almost anything used for sports can be yoga clothes. It makes sense to stay as close to popular styles but there's still room to experiment. For example, you can use warm-up pants as yoga pants. The high tech, synthetic shirt that you use for camping can also work for yoga. You will have no trouble at all making interesting and innovative outfits as long as you have a keen eye for fashion and a practical sense of what is required for yoga.

Keep in mind that there is no need to sacrifice comfort for fashion, when you are selecting yoga clothes. Clothes that appear to be uncomfortable will also look unfashionable. Good yoga clothes can do it all because they can flatter your figure, give you plenty of room to move around, and comfort you with their softness and malleability.

What To Wear If You Are Pear Shaped

Firstly, clothing sizes. This is a really grey area - I'm often a medium, but sometimes clothing lines which only specify 'small, medium or large' are really quite dodgy and I end up a small.

The only thing you can really do is a) find a shop which sells these things and check there or b) if you're buying online, check the returns policy on the website. If in doubt, and the site won't let you return things, find a friend or a seamstress (or even yourself, if you know how) to take the item in for you.

The dresses and skirts question is equally tricky as despite being pear-shaped myself, I find some things suit me very well, and a different skirt in the same style but from a different shop looks terrible. As a general rule, stay away from anything that rides too low on the hips, go for a wide waistband and make sure it FITS. The last one is an absolute must, because no matter how many people tell you something will suit you, if it's a size too small, or the zip sticks out, or the waistband won't lie flat you will look terrible.

Your best bet to find out what suits YOU is to go shopping with an honest and well-dressed friend and just try on everything you like the look of.

You are not alone at all. So, what to wear if you are a 'pear'? Trousers or skirts that emphasize your well defined waist area (softly pleated or flat-fronted). Try hipster trousers, as these will eliminate that gaping waist problem common to all pear shaped women. A-line skirts/wraps are by far the most flattering for 'pears' as they slim the hips and emphasize the smaller waist area. Short, tight skirts should be avoided as these will accentuate the tops of your thighs, and divert attention to that problematic area below the waist

Avoid light colored bottoms and stick to darker blues and browns which absorb the light

Tops should be fitted and focus the eye to your upper body (beautiful necklines, patterns and colors). They should not be baggy as these will cover your waist, and instead should finish at the top of your hips so that your waist is emphasized

Choose accessories (jeweler and scarves) that avert attention upward away from the hips and thighs.

If you're in the majority you will be a classic British pear shape (carrying most your stored fat around the thigh, hip, and bottom area). Rest assured that you are not the only one who gets frustrated when trying on a pair of jeans that gape around the waist area and can barely squeeze past your hips and thighs. Given that 70% of British women fall in to this category it is surprising that manufacturers of jeans still haven't cottoned on to the idea of making a well fitting pair of jeans for pear shaped women.

However in the mean time your best bet is to head straight for the clothing rail labeled 'hipsters'. Hipsters are great in avoiding the gaping waist scenario we all hate, as they sit on your hips not the waist.

Any pair of jeans with a low-cut waistband will make your bottom look smaller. Make sure the jeans are boot-cut, as these styles will balance out heavier hips and thighs. Jeans should be dark - steer away from light colors and paler 'washed look' jeans as these will do you no favors. Finally don't be tempted by denims containing stretchy materials such as Lycra as although these may seem more comfortable they will accentuate your problem areas below the waist by clinging to hips and thighs. Follow these guidelines and we think you will find your 'pear-fact' pair of jeans!

Ideas For Men's Casual Wear

I can however give you some good guidelines to help point you in the right direction. What you require are a pair of wide legged, flat fronted khakis or chinos in a relaxed fit.

Pleats and cuffs are perfectly appropriate with polo, but are not ideal for a shorter chap such as you as they detract from the length. In order to give the greatest visual appearance of length and height, you will need to have flat fronted and uncuffed trousers. Flat fronted pants are also more slimming; however pleated fronts are a little dressier. On this occasion though, I believe you can make up for the dressiness elsewhere, and go for the flat fronts.

You should also pay close attention to the back pockets of the pants and try to choose a pair without pockets (if you can find any), or with slim pockets. Either way, go for the smallest flattest pockets at the back that you can. Big pockets emphasize the rear of the trouser, and as you mentioned that you have a generous rear, it's best to downplay it.

In terms of length, the pants should break at the laces of your shoes (which incidentally I recommend should be loafers or suede oxfords) and sit just above the heel at the back.

I would go for a black polo, tan/clay/stone colored chinos or khakis that are wide legged and flat fronted, small pocketed at the rear, and have no cuffs, and team it with a black belt and black loafers or suede oxfords (with, of course, black socks!)

If you wish to up the smartness a touch, you could also team it with a smart sports jacket or blazer in a dark color, which you can then of course remove and offer to drape across a lady's shoulders should she start to feel chilly at the event! Always think ahead!

In terms of stores to try, you stated that the Banana republic are not ideal. Perhaps you could try Gap or Dockers as an alternative.

If you wear a nice pair of black or tan pants, you can wear a number of different things on top. For the winter months, go for a nice pair of wool slacks and for warmer months you can opt for thinner fabrics.

On top, you can wear a simple button down shirt that is a bit more relaxed that you would usually wear to work. A flannel shirt, when done right, can look casual and chic, yet still professional for work. Dress it up a bit with some nice black dress shoes and you'll be good to go! Add a blazer if you feel you look a bit too casual.

A sweater on top is also a nice look. A nice rich color (like navy blue or burgundy) would look great on you. To make the suits you already wear look less stuffy, why not wear a t-shirt underneath? Make a solid one, again in a darker color. The result will be a youthful look that is also professional

A final key point is that it is your grooming that really dictates how smart you will look, not your clothes. By all means ensure that your clothes look smart, but the key to success is to ensure that you shower, shave well, and pay attention to your hair before you go out! Also, make sure you feel comfortable in what you wear; if you feel uncomfortable it'll show. If you feel comfortable and well groomed you'll feel relaxed, you'll smile more and feel more confident. THAT is what will make everyone stop and do a double take when they see you.

Men's Clothing Suit Styles

Suit jackets certainly can be worn with other things, but you're right, you do have to be careful. Can you let me know your husband's age and size? The last thing I want to do is recommend unsuitable attire!

Also, have you checked with a tailor that the pants cannot be altered? Most suit pants can be either let out or taken in by up to 1 3/4 inches if done properly, and of course the hems can be altered to suit length as well.

Ok, the dark blue subtle pinstripe, this is where the importance of your husband's age comes in! I would recommend using this for an informal/formal look and teaming it with a smart pair of jeans, and a formal work shirt.

Matching this jacket with a pair of formal pants will be nigh on impossible, but matching it with jeans and going for a casual yet still smart look is easily done. What you have to do is think about the accessories. As I said, a nice oxford shirt in either a pale blue or white, along with a pair of smart jeans and then a black belt and black shoes, either plain oxfords or perhaps a pair of suede loafers even.

For the glen plaid, this can be matched into something more formal and worn almost as you would a sports jacket. Pants will have to be dark, plain and pleated. I would recommend dark navy pants, and brown shoes and belt. In terms of shirt and tie, you can't go far wrong with a white shirt, and then a tie that brings out a bit of the color in the glen plaid, so a tie with a hint of red in would go nicely.

If you are looking for a more western interpretation, then you can find suits with a mandarin influence, or perhaps a Nehru style suit which fuses Indian themes within the suit style. I would avoid the white shirt/black tie routine, it'll either make you look like you're going to a funeral, or going to carry out a hit on someone!

What you need for interviews is something safe, but also nice and smart. You can't go too far wrong with a pastel blue (not a navy blue, more of a sky blue) cotton shirt with tie that has gold/yellow/blue in it. Alternatively a lilac shirt with a tie that has a combination of purple/blue in it works well.

A general rule of thumb that I advise is that the darker the shirt, the lighter the tie color to lift it. The opposite of that works too, i.e. if you're wearing a very light shirt, then a heavier colored tie is good.

I say go ahead and buy the suit. It sounds like a winner. There are always a lot of questions asking whether or not a double breasted suit is hip and I say it can be. It's a classic look that will never go out of style - although, sometimes the look is more "in fashion" than others. However, because this suit is a classic it tends to look better on men and not young men or teens.

Men's Casual In An Office

The definition of casual of course depends on just how dressy the office is to begin with. At some business offices slacks and sport shirts are the status quo. So the idea of going more casual seems somewhat silly.

However, by the same token, a business that generally expects suits and ties has not (from what I've been able to see) been particularly comfortable with employees showing up in jeans and t shirts.

Casual in a business situation has actually gotten a little dressier. Perhaps the suit and tie are given a rest occasionally, but they can be replaced with sport coats, dress trousers, and turtlenecks all made from good fabrics (wool, silk or luxurious man made fibers). Casual should never be sloppy or unkempt. There are a lot of great shirts, pants, and jackets available that can be combined into wonderful looks.

Also, men's suits are so great now that I think a lot of men like to wear them. The new fabric combinations and lines are flattering and very handsome.

And, after all, it really isn't that hard to put on a suit, particularly if you know you look good when you're wearing it. I wish I could be more definite about men's casual. But frankly it's so individual right now and so specific to particular work environments that it's impossible to offer rules. But no man ever hurt himself by dressing well.

I have always felt that a man who wants to get up the corporate ladder should always dress for the job he wants, not the job he has.

I think that you might be best sticking to the autumnal colors, which are very fashionable right now. Certainly browns or not-too-bright yellows would seem to be very good, given the description you provided. You could try to introduce an element of mid- to light green (the color of leaves, not fluorescent paint!!) and some beige to lighten this us somewhat, and also keep it seasonal as summer approaches (I presume you are in the northern hemisphere). Stay away from black, however.

Not that it would look bad, but for casual clothing it just rings too much of formality. For a change try wearing (light) blues and grays together, they should work reasonably well. One word of warning: avoid wearing grey with brown - it doesn't always work.

As regards clothing styles, there are several to choose from which could apply to your situation. Try wearing slacks, button-down shirts and sports jackets for a classy, sophisticated look, or instead wear t-shirts (v-necked is popular right now) or polo shirts for an more casual style.

Turtlenecks are fine too, but they are WARM. Does one really need something that cozy in a centrally-heated or air conditioned office? Certainly there is nothing 'wrong' with putting them together with, say, slacks or the really currently popular five-pocket pants, but one must also be practical!

It may help to show off your "athletic appearance" and really looks great too. You can either try it with sports jackets or the enormous, incredibly diverse range of excellent knitwear that is out there to go with it.

Men's New Fashion Trends

It's always great to mix trendy pieces with more classic looks to give you the perfect look that always looks up-to-date. Color is big for men this season (I love colored interesting shirts of all kinds), as are relaxed chic looks (like relaxed suits), etc.

Accessories that are hot are really simple: well kept shoes. It's one of the first things people notice, so always make sure the shoes are right and clean. Here's something I like to do. Instead of looking at celebs, I check out various magazines and advertising and check out different looks I like (for You GQ, Cargo) and then get shopping!

If you are wondering why some of today's most sophisticated men's stores - Polo Ralph Lauren, Bergdorf Goodman Men, Barneys New York - are stocked with enough hard-core color to resemble the team uniform section of a sporting goods shop, well, perhaps that's fitting. Color has become practically a contact sport.

Mens wear Bright New Look In the last few seasons, many men have developed a major passion for sharply tailored suits and brightly patterned dress shirts, snapping up $200 Etros by the half-dozen. But this spring, in the eternal game of one-upmanship known as fashion, the look has been taken to a new extreme. Solidly colored pants, sweaters and blazers - in tangerine, lemon, viridian, magenta, royal blue - have raised the stakes, and some men are, to retailers' surprise, taking the bet.

Retailers report that traditional two-button cotton sport coats and pinwale corduroys struck by a lightning bolt of color have become some of the hottest sellers of the season. And in a rare meeting of minds, old-school retailers like Paul Stuart are sharing a design aesthetic with edge-of-fashion lines like Burberry Prorsum and Duckier Brown.

"The first thing that blew out of Barneys was all the color," said Daniel Silver, a partner in Duckier Brown. "When we were designing it we were thinking: 'It's so bright. Are guys really going to buy this?' But they have. It's like someone knocked down the wall between his and hers closets."

The trend has obvious appeal to men who want an easy new way to express a bold streak. But it has an august precedent as well, in the late, great NBC peacock, Johnny Carson. In 1973, when country clubs swarmed with pants and blazers of every hue, Carson's own fashion line was the best-selling men's tailored clothing line in the country, according to Homi Patel, the chief executive of Hartmarx, which owns the line. In 1973 alone, 80,000 electric blue sport coats (with five-inch lapels!) were sold.

Unlike many looks with roots in the past, this one is a study in jarring contrasts. It has both the edge and cheek of early 80's New York, when Day-Glo color fueled the New Wave scene, and the ease and entitlement of an early 70's Republican enclave in Palm Springs.

"The roots are in that country club thing," said Joe Zee, the editor of the men's wear magazine Vitals. "The edge is in its conservative aspect." Striped shirts and plaid jackets can play into a conservative look, but solid colors, Mr. Zee suggested, are bolder. "Men are more used to pattern," he said. "So a pink striped shirt is easier for a lot of guys than an all-pink shirt. That's a more specific fashion statement."

Tips On Casual Clothing And Undergarments

Khaki would be too casual, but black Capri's with some sort of a heel would be nice just be sure to buy a blouse or shirt that will go well with the shoes. Perhaps the same color as the shirt. Even if you have white sandal. Don't be afraid to wear an ankle bracelet.

Costume jewelry can really up the look for a wedding. Black is fine as long as you wear it with a light colored shirt or its not totally black, maybe frilly tank top with lace, or even a white short sleeved top. Check out any fashion web site and look under misses selection then tanks & camisoles this will give you a pretty good idea.

Although some of them are too casual those aren't the ones I'm talking about! I specifically would choose the black and white tank with the black Capri's or even the bluish colored one look for stuff like that with hair and makeup. With your hair done you would look great. Try something with chiffon or even try any local Store. If they don't have want you are looking for then go on the internet and order something from there.

Get press on nails and remember to sand your nails down before you apply the glue. Don't paint them a light pink such as the sally Hansen kind. If you get press on nails make sure that are clear so that way you can paint them what ever color you want. That way you don't have to worry about the color of your nails not match the color of the clothes that you choose to wear.

The proper under garments can make all the difference in how your clothes look on you. In terms of panties, nothing is more unflattering than seeing panty lines under your slacks!! That's especially true in the summer when you can get a double whammy...actually seeing through light white pants as well as having the textural bulge that some underpants give!! I am a huge fan of thongs! For some people they take some getting used to and some are more comfortable than others. You'll have to try them and see how you feel. They make visual and texturally bulging panty lines obsolete...great for your look in clothing.

As for bras, it's a great idea to get your bra professionally fit! This may sound a bit bizarre but there are great women out there who do this for a living in lingerie shops. You would be surprised at how many women walk around wearing the wrong bra size for years!! A bra too small around the back provides bulges that look ugly under sweaters or t shirts. Cups the wrong size result in bulging if too small and lumpy wrinkles and gathers if too big.

Anyway, once you have the proper size, here are some things to look for: Go for unadorned and seamless cups. (While lace and rosebuds are awfully pretty, they don't permit fabric to lie smoothly). I love the bras at Victoria's Secret that are unpadded but nonetheless have opaque, shaped cups like the IPEX demi bra. I recommend you take a look at their web site for some ideas or stop into one of their stores and try some different styles on. Here's a tip, try the bra on and put your top back on to really see how it looks!

Own a variety of different bra cuts...one more plunging, one with race backs, one with narrower straps, one strapless, etc because different tops and dresses call for different bra styles. Get a couple of the basic style and then one of each additional style should do it! You just never want your bra or its straps to show! Some people might thing that it is not very classic that a woman's bra straps are showing.

Clothing Can Play Tricks

Sounds like you are on the right track in terms of health care and an exercise program and that's terrific. Your question is complicated so I'm going to start at the top...literally!

To make shoulders look wider, we play some visual tricks. Blouses with lapels are great...leaving the top 2 or 3 buttons open and spread the collar/lapels out. The points of the collar draw the eye outward. Very slight padding in the shoulders of the blouse will also help. Tops with shoulder ornamentation are also good...epilates, ties, buttons, etc. Wider shouldered jackets and those with exaggerated lapels are great! Go for some of the military styled jackets that are coming back this year...they usually have a lot going on to help shoulders look wider.

In terms of bras, I love Victoria's Secret. The IPEX bra with the wire is worth trying on because the shape of the cup naturally lifts the breasts without padding. Try a few different models on and see which lifts you while also providing nice shape.

The long legs are a physical characteristic most women would kill for. So we'll really want to accentuate them while playing down your waist. Exercise is going to help get your belly and waist back in shape but until then, here are some strategies. Short wasted women need to avoid wearing tops tucked into their skirts or pants. You want to call all attention away from the location and/or size of your waist so all tops need to be both long and worn out.

Tunics are a great option. If you plan to wear a belt, it needs to be low slung on your hips, not around your waist. No color changes can take place at waist level. We are looking for continuous color from your shoulders to your hips. Go for longer jackets and avoid cropped tops of any sort at all costs! Also avoid fitted tops. We do not want rolls highlighted. Wear high heels as much as possible.

Even though you are tall with nice long legs, nothing makes one look thinner than extending one's visual line. Wear your trousers long and make sure there are no pockets, pleats etc to bulk up your mid section. Make sure your pants are paired with a long tunic top or long jacket....again, nothing tucked in.

In terms of skirts, knee length or a bit longer is fine. Make sure there is no detail at the top...no tucks, gathers, pleats, etc. Look for a clean line skirt that is either straight or a-line. Details at the hem are fine. Go on the Spiegel catalogue web site and look at the Signature Spa Knit collection. They have a great Bateau- Neck Tunic and some other coordinating pieces including a great skirt, cardigan, and pants for the fall and winter.

Also look at the Off-shoulder swing tee...in fact, just cruise the site and see if anything grabs you. You can write back to me with the item names and I'll let you know if it could work for you! In terms of dresses, I didn't see anything that really grabbed me on this site.

I would recommend a faired sheath dress as your best option. They are classic and the details, if any, are usually at the neckline or shoulders. They should be easy to find in department stores. Just look for something that has shape but is not form-fitting and just gently flairs as it reaches the hem. No cinched waists or belts. Go for darker colors as well. If you find something two toned or multicolored, just make sure the color change does not occur at or around your waist.

Special Event Attire For Men

Here are some ideas for the men that want to look good at any type of special event that they go to. It will tell you what might look good for Formal wear, Cocktail parties, Wedding attire, etc.

Cocktail attire is all about wearing a suit....Black tie- means wearing a tuxedo...you don't have to wear the bow tie...go for a cool colorful tie and don't forget the cuff links - they add a unique touch. Formal attire will range from cocktail dresses and dressy pantsuits to full length gowns. You will see a little of everything.

I tell people to dress as if you were a guest at a formal wedding, so a cocktail dress is fine. There is no difference in one formal dinner or the other although people tend to dress more formal for the Captain's night dinner (the first formal night) than for the second night which is the farewell dinner.

Layer one over a button up to make it appropriate for work. A nice rich color (like navy blue or burgundy) would look great on you.

To make the suits you already wear look less stuffy, why not wear a t-shirt underneath? Make a solid one, again in a darker color. The result will be a youthful look that is also professional.

I think that jeans would work, but ONLY in a dark wash. Shirt-wise, if you're wearing jeans the top needs to be more formal. Go for a brighter colored button up shirt...light blue would be a good choice. You could also go for a dressier sweater. You don't have to stick with blues...go for a green or a nice burgundy color.

It's always better to be slightly over dressed than too casual. I would go for nice black pants and jacket. Find a unique shirt (can be a color) with cuff links (if you have it) - for this you can get away with not wearing a tie and you'll still look casual cool in a country club atmosphere!

And, the most important - have fun and be confident! It will make what you are wearing even better.

I always say, it's better to be a little dressier than too casual. Go for Dressy Casual (usually means no jeans or shorts). It's very similar to business casual, but a tad dressier. You could wear slacks (khaki) with a really cool French cuff shirt (make it a interesting print or stripes in unique colors).

Find some interesting cuff links - either go vintage or go new, either way, you're unique. I love this look because it shows that you took extra thought and it looks great.

I think since it sounds like the wedding is really casual, you can get away without wearing the jacket. Be sure to tuck in your shirt and get a cool belt! Pay attention to your shoes too. This look is casual "chic" look for sure and you'll fit in either way.

The Proper Under Garments Can Make All The Difference

The best under garments can make all the cloths look good on you.

Anyway, once you have the proper size, here are some things to look for.

Go for unadorned and seamless cups. (While lace and rosebuds are awfully pretty, they don't permit fabric to lay smoothly). I love the bras at Victoria's Secret that are unpadded but nonetheless have opaque, shaped cups like the IPEX demi bra. I recommend you take a look at their web site for some ideas or stop into one of their stores and try some different styles on. Here's tips...try the bra on and put your top back on to really see how it looks!

Own a variety of different bra cuts...one more plunging, one with race backs, one with narrower straps, one strapless, etc because different tops and dresses call for different bra styles. Get a couple of the basic style and then one of each additional style should do it! You just never want your bra or its straps to show!

I understand your problems because, at 5'5 and 120 pounds you are probably a size 6 and size 6 clothes are not designed for DD breasts. First, buy a great minimize bra that offers lots of support but also visually reduces the size of your chest. Avoid knit tops or any other type of form fitting top.

Blouses will be better for you, either tucked in or worn out. You will look like you have a gorgeous and curvaceous figure but it will help take the emphasis away from your breasts. Tops that are blouson will also be great on you. Avoid high scoop neck tops...they make one's chest look bigger! V necks (but not plunging) and button down styles will be best. Darker colors on the top are also a good idea, with lighter bottoms. I'm not sure you need more hip but you haven't provided those proportions.

If you're back measures 34 then your hips should measure 34 or more. You need more hip if the number is less than 34, only. Wearing A-line skirts and pleated skirts will make your bottom appear wider. Avoid tight, straight skirts if you want more hips. Wear light colored bottoms with dark tops because light makes things look bigger and dark makes them smaller.

Polarized Sunglasses Are Great In The Sun

From the designer brands to your everyday lenses which you can get from the local department store. Everybody looks cool in designer sunglasses. But for many people, designer sunglasses are too expensive to buy. Designer shades cost more but are a very coveted fashion accessory.

Most people when purchasing sunglasses purchase them as a fashion accessory, rather than protecting their eyes from the sun. They aren't like regular sunglasses that pay more attention to fashion rather than function. Nobody wore them as a fashion statement, and protection from the sun was never considered. Modern sunglasses were worn as a fashion accessory before their intended use as sun protection. Polaroid or polarization were invented in 1936, by inventing this it allowed normal glasses the ability to protect against dangerous UV rays, and it made them a desirable for manufactures to place them on sunglasses for to protect people from harmful rays.

You need to have protection for your eyes from the glare of the sun, but more importantly you need exceptional sunglasses so that you can see where you are going Some glasses protect against ultraviolet (UV) rays while reducing glare and giving protection from physical damage that may be caused to the eyes.

Shopping online for sunglasses you are able to get many more different types of styles for specific sports or activities for a lot less money than in stores in a mall or specialty stores. Many manufactures offer sunglasses also many different types of sports sunglasses eyewear which offers durability and protection when playing sports. When wearing sunglasses they sometimes fall down or slip while wearing them, to stop this there are various types of sports strings that will stop the sunglasses from falling or slipping.

Hot, new styles of sunglasses are selling out almost as soon as they come into stores. There are so many different styles of sunglasses that you and your family can choose from. When looking for kid sunglasses they come in all different colors and styles, it is pretty much the same as adult sunglasses, but children sunglasses designs are more directed to character base designs and cartoon themes. Children sunglasses are usually sturdy because they are plastic which is durable and are flexibly enough to provide a great fit for each child. The internet is said to be the best place to look for inexpensive sunglasses as you can find the best styles available at the most competitive price.

There are many different types’ of tints available for glasses; over the years sunglasses have changed their style. There are many different types of tints for your sunglasses and each brand has its own versions of tints, styles and colors. The different types are the following.

How To Pack For A Trip To Europe

1. One linen suit with draping, wide-legged pants, fitted jacket and light colored fabric. These two pieces can be worn together, or separately. The pants can be worn with any cute top, and the jacket can be worn on chillier nights.

2. Two calf-length or longer skirts in white, light or bright colors that can be dressed up with a nice top or dressed down with a cute tank top and flat shoes.

3. Comfortable sandals with small wedge heels. (Walk around in these a lot to make sure they are comfortable and don't rub you in the wrong place)

4. Strappy high-heeled sandals for your nights out and special dinners

5. Two pairs of capri pants (or full-length denim jeans if you aren't too warm in them) light colors if they are fabric or in a medium or darker wash if they are denim, and without holes or tears (even if you bought them that way). Europe tends to frown upon the more relaxed American styles and is much more formal than casual.

6. Two semi-formal shirts, maybe a kimono top, in float material. These are really cute, especially on petite people, and they also keep you cool while still being dressy and not too casual or revealing.

7. 4 or 5 assorted tops and tank tops- small and easy to pack. Please note that some places in Italy do not allow bare shoulders due to strict religious believes. You will mostly encounter this if you go to visit a catholic cathedral, or any of the primary attractions that are in a church. Bared shoulders, midriffs or legs above the knee are considered inappropriate.

8. Two lovely little dresses that are at least knee length and can be dressed up or dressed down.

9. One swimming suit, careful again about the formality issues in some of these countries. You can wear a two-piece swimsuit bikini, but do bring along a sarong or some other kind of cover-up for when you are out of the water.

10. This last one is a combination: comfortable tennis shoes or flat walking shoes and two lightweight jogging suits. I suggest this because of the fact that you will be spending a fair amount of time on buses, trains or airplanes, and it is most important there to be comfortable.

11. Jewellery and accessories are an excellent way to change your style - maybe a chunky belt to put over a dress in the day time, and an elegant set of jewellery for the night time. Also remember that your makeup can stay light and colorful in the day, and you can create a Smokey-eyed look for evenings out.

You could wear these same basic items every day and just change around colors and hair style and no one would ever notice that you are following a pattern! All these items wont wrinkle very much and can be rolled in your suitcase which can give you more room.

Of course, don't forget your under things like bras and plenty of underwear! Bring sunglasses, and find a cute hat or two so you don't get too much sun in your face and eyes.

Dresses And Accessories

What are the differences between a formal dress and a semi-formal dress? Formal usually means the same as Black Tie, but in some trendier cities like New York or Los Angeles, it could mean a black shirt, no tie with a tux. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates.Semi-formal is the trickiest of all dress codes. Usually it means that tuxes are not required, nor are long dresses. An evening wedding (after 6 PM) would still dictate dark suits for him, and a cocktail dress for her. Daytime semi-formal events mean a suit for him and an appropriate short dress or dressy suit for her.

I have a Christmas party coming up and I would like any suggestions on bag and shoes that goes well with a black velvet mandarin collar, Asian accents dress. You will need a black handbag, say purse size, even a clutch bag. Shoes, I would wear either small ankle boots with a heel or a high heel sandal, strappy shoe, again with heels. The color of the shoes and bag will have to be silver or black.

A cocktail dress can be long or it also can fall into a mini, of course you have to have the legs to wear it. If you do wear it shorter a good sheer pantyhose is so important, and the higher heel will help to end. Black is a great color! It goes with everything; an all black outfit is very chic. It will look fabulous to wear black dress, black sheer tights and shoes, perhaps a little higher then you would normally wear.

The best outfit to attend the opera. People wear all sorts of things to the opera, so you don't have to wear a certain thing except if it is opening night, because this is when everyone dresses up. You want to wear something smart, go for a little black dress if you have one, and if you want something more comfy and still chic wear a suit, and spice it up a bit with heels and accessories. As for a dress, go for not a full length, a simple cocktail length dress would be perfect. As for jewelry go simple. A pant suit with a shawl would be a good choice. Everything is ok to wear, as long as it is not the opening night.

What To Wear For Important Occasions And Parties

What to wear for a holiday party that is a workday luncheon. It would not be appropriate to wear real party attire. Try a nice skirt suit or pretty tailored dress (maybe even red!). Something a bit nicer than what you typically wear to the office so it feels and looks a bit special but a few notches down from a true party dress.

What to wear for a holiday party. One of the suggestions is wearing either a jewel toned dress (burgundy, purple, etc) with black tights and heels. OR if you are uncomfortable in a dress, go for a simple a-line black skirt with a jewel toned top. There are some great silky ones out right now, and again you can wear this with black tights and heels. Wearing a shorter skirt makes you look slimmer, but you can go as long as knee-length depending on what you are comfortable in.

What to wear for a Broadway show. Is recommended your best semi-formal clothing. If you wear pants, make sure they are wide-legged and drapery (like palazzo pants) made of a high-quality material and paired with a lovely, pretty blouse that has formal details. Think of what you might wear to an evening wedding and you'll be on the right track. Go with a skirt or dress. Choose shapes and lengths that really flatter your body.

What to wear for a first date. For a dressy play and dinner, try to go with a simple black pencil skirt. It is perfect for basically every occasion and you won't look overdone, or too casual. Some black peep-toe heels would look great with this, or even a strappy shoe. Shirt-wise, there are so many options; whole belted shirt, a brighter shirt since the skirt and shoes would be black. A nice plum color would be great and it's really big right now. A nice voluminous shirt like this would look cute too. For the more casual date, try a nice pair of dark-wash jeans with heels or a nice pair of ballet flats. A nice bold sweater would go well with it. You could add some nice bold silver jewelry to pull it all together. If a sweater seems too hot, go for a fitted 3/4 length top instead. The cropped jacket sounds cute, as does the velvet peacoat.

What to wear to a wedding party for a young girl. Go with a nice pair of pants and a great top. Make the top your focus. Find something with a beautiful color or print and a great material like silk, cashmere or velvet. Then dress it up with pretty jewelry! Vintage or delicate jewelry will be best for a wedding. If you need something to keep you warm besides the shirt, consider investing in a lovely shawl or Irish walking cloak. Buy it in the best material you can afford and a color that looks great with your hair and eyes. Elegance is the key for such an occation!

Types Of Shoes For Different Style Dresses

Sandals are high heeled, strappy shoes that have no fully closed area. Open toe shoes have all closed areas except for a small opening at the very front of the shoes (like a pump with an open front) or a sling back with an open toe.

Open toes shoes are more popular this year, and you can find them in abundance, but every designer is also making the more classic dressy, black-tie pumps as well. You can wear open-toed shoes with hose so long as the hose have a sheer toe. It is sandals that you should not wear with hose but the open toed shoes can certainly be worn with sandal foot hose! Sandals are high heeled, strappy shoes that have no fully closed area. Open toe shoes have all closed areas except for a small opening at the very front of the shoes (like a pump with an open front) or a sling back with an open toe.

Silver purse and shoes are the best unless the jewelry includes yellow gold.

Wear sandals and not shoes with any a dress that has short sleeves and is an empire waist.

You can wear a variety of different shoe colors with a plum or maroon dress. First suggestion would be to wear sandals - something with a high heel and definitely strappy. You can always wear black sandals! Metallic, bronze, silver or gold are also a good choice. Make sure to coordinate your jewelry. Silver sandals would be terrific if you wear white gold or sterling jewelry. Also, match your handbag to the shoes.

You should wear matching burgundy satin pumps with burgundy colored dress. You can go to a formal shoe store, buy them white, and have them died perfectly to your dress. As for outerwear, I suggest a satin cape or shawl. It should be burgundy or black to balance your outfit. You can line the cape or shawl with a wool shawl for additional warmth.

As wild as orange sandals sound, picture them with a beige dress, a white dress, a camel dress, black, tan, brown, cream. Even navy!! Think of a print that incorporates some orange or just all different shades of neutrals.

Wear black satin high heeled sandals and carry a black satin purse...either clutch or small handled or shoulder strapped (strap must be satin too)purse with black tie style dress. Ideally, you'd be wearing diamonds with this too!

No! No! No! Socks and heels do not go together. You could try sheer knee highs or even tights if you are cold, but with jeans and heels. If you wear boots you could wear socks, that is ok to do.
