New Fall Hair Styles? Try These

The 2006 fall season is upon us and with it we bring in a few new hairstyles. Early indications show that dark hair is going to remain popular along with long flowing curls. The good news is that long curls are very easy to do at home. This is great for fall, it is easy to do and maintain throughout the day. You do not need any special knowledge. A few basic items you will need are comb for sectioning, rollers, styling gel or spray.

Start by washing your hair as you normally would. Add styling gel or spray when hair is still damp. Place rollers in hair as you section it out, generally you will start at the top. When rolling the hair be sure you have rolled it fairly tightly. This will pay off later when it is time to style your hair. By rolling tightly yuo encourage the root to be lifted as it dries this will give you a fuller look when you are done.

After the hair has dried it is ready to style.

This is really a personal expression thing at this point. So have fun with it. You will begin to have ideas as soon as you pull the first brush through it. A few other ideas for the fall season. Wispy bob. Ask your stylist for a bob with choppy layers. This an espacially great look this year. Remember to dry holding head upside down.

Motorcycle Eyewear and Why it Should be Worn When Riding

If you do not wear sunglasses or goggles when riding your motorcycle you should. Wearing sunglasses and goggles will help with protecting your vision, as UV rays are not good for your eyes and may cause cataracts or problems with your ocular lenses. Sunglasses and goggles protect your eyes from both UVA &UVB rays, bugs, and the wind. Motorcycle sunglasses and goggles also have a shatterproof lens to protect your eyes from rock or gravel being thrown from the tires of cars in front of you. Polarized lenses help to prevent glare from wet road surfaces, which can impair your vision and the glare from other vehicles on the road.

Superflysunglasses offers name brands such as Bobster Action Eyewear, Wiley-X, Choppers, and XLoops. For those of you that do not want to pay the high dollar for a pair of riding sunglasses or goggles we offer discount motorcycle sunglasses also. Our top selling motorcycle eyewear is the Bobster Action Eyewear. We carry a Bobster line referred to as the Bobster Road Hog Convertible, which have interchangeable lenses for daytime and nighttime riding. These sunglasses/goggles offer an ultra-quick conversion from sunglasses to goggles and back. Our wrap around goggles feature a frameless single piece of amber polycarbonate for the lens, has an adjustable strap for maximum comfortability, and soft foam lining the inside for extreme comfort. The polycarbonate lens is very important for motorcyclists because the lenses must be scratchproof and impact resistant. These wrap around goggles are ideal for wearing under your helmet.

The Spektrax convertible is another very popular pair of sunglasses/goggles to wear while riding which includes a carry pouch, sunglass arms, adjustable strap, soft belt case, prescription lens insert, and easy to change lens. Lens colors include smoke, amber, and clear, which can be worn for daytime and nighttime riding. These shatterproof lenses have anti-fog coating and 100% UV protection. These sunglasses/goggles are name brand sunglasses for a reasonable price and are one of the top motorcycle sunglass/goggles worn today.

Superflysunglasses offers another style of sunglass/goggles referred to as Wiley-X. Our Wiley-X sunglasses/goggles are not only popular with motorcyclists, but are also popular with boaters and jet skiers. Wiley-X goggles also come with two interchangeable lenses, a gray lens for daytime and a clear lens for night. Our Wiley-X goggles also protect from UVA & UVB rays, which are harmful to the eyes and can cause cataracts and harm your ocular lens. If you are looking for a different color lens other than black, gray or clear we offer a Wiley-X Model B-2B that comes with a bronze brown lens. Wiley-X is another name brand sunglass/goggles great for protecting your eyes while riding your motorcycle, but unlike other name brands these sunglass/goggles can be found reasonably priced here at superflysunglasses.com.

With all these requirements that motorcycle sunglasses must have, it's hard to find a pair that you think will fulfill these requirements. Bobster Action Eyewear, Wiley-X, Choppers and XLoops are top brands that meet these requirements and sometimes exceed expectations. The Bobsters have even succeeded in outperforming others with their prescription sunglass/goggles. Because of the curve most motorcycle sunglasses or goggles have it is extremely difficult to add a prescription lens. With the more curve sunglasses or goggles have the less the prescription is going to work. The demand for prescription sunglasses and goggles tends to make most of them very expensive. The Bobster Spektrax is very reasonably priced to be name brand, have a prescription lens insert, and be so popular all at the same time.

What The Heck Are Fashion Knock Offs And Do I Want Anything To Do With Them?

Looks like the war is on between some well known businesses and the manufacturers of knock offs. Zippo Manufacturing Company plans to lay off about 15% of their work force and they blame part of the cause on the knock offs of their lighters. In Pittsburgh where Zippo Manufacturing is located, there will be a few more on unemployment soon. Zippo has filed a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission to stop the manufacturing and sale of knock offs. Many of the knock offs are coming from China so Zippo has named four Chinese companies.

Because of the knock offs, Zippo has lost 30% of their business, which in turn has caused part of the reasons for the layoffs. Zippo says if their business picks back up substantially, they can hire back some of those they laid off. The layoffs were something they regretted having to do, but they claim it was the only option they had.

A few weeks ago was fashion week in New York and the designers are very upset by all of their designs being manufactured by clothing companies around the world and sold at cheap rates to everyone wanting them. These knock offs are causing quite a stir within the designer world and they have decided to fight back. Designers like Zac Posen and Diane von Fursternburg have teamed up together along with the Council of Fashion Designers of America to get copyrights to their fashions.

For those who cannot afford the big expensive fashions, the knock offs have been a way for them to get garments, which look like the latest fashions but at a very cheap price. The designers are also working with Congressman Bob Goodlatte to get legislation started, which would give the designers protection rights on their designs just like other artists; musicians have on their works. If it works out, the designers will be able to register their designs with the U.S. Copyright Office. The designs would then be protected for three years. It would be illegal for anyone to manufacture anything similar to the designs. The CFDA is an organization of over 270 designers and they are very upset with the manufacturers of the knock offs.

This is just two of the many companies or products, which are getting irate about the knock offs, found in the streets, discount stores, or wherever they are being sold. There are watches, jewelry, purses, shoes, and many more products. Many of the products use the same names and just spell them differently so the buyer may not notice. This problem is not new by no means but the Popular Manufacturers have decided it is enough and now is the time to take action. Time will tell which ones will win.

Tips for Finding Stylish Ladies Dresses

It seems that at times far too many people experience difficulties while choosing clothes that are appropriate for them? Is it so hard to find clothes that suit the occasion and the age? Why do so many people find it so difficult to dress him or herself adequately?

Lately, I visited a shareholder's dinner for the local hospital. I cannot even describe what I saw there! I was amazed by the clothes all people were wearing!

The shareholder's meeting included a dinner and an annual report of the hospital's financial situation. Over two hundred people were present at the shareholder's meeting. I was astonished to see that only about a half of them was wearing clothes, which are appropriate for the occasion. I even met women who were dressed as young girls. Probably, they have no mirrors at home!

Now, I'm going to read to all you women a short lecture about how to search for ladies dresses in a store. The regular stores are separated in sections. Lady's clothes are separated in two groups: there are a juniors' section which is meant for girls 19 years of age and under and then the misses' section that is meant for woman older than 19. All women that are under 19 years old must look for their ladies dresses in the misses' section.

Ladies dresses often follow the latest fashion, which changes from season to season. However, ladies dresses more often than not are in more classic styles. Ladies dresses usually have a simple design that suits many occasions. Ladies dresses must be modest and stylish in order to match a variety of events.

At the shareholder's meeting, I met women I met many women who were dresses excessively for that occasion. They probably had not realized that they were wearing ladies dresses, which were made to be worn at very formal or special occasions such as a wedding, opera or formal ball.

On the contrary, there were women who were dressed in their everyday clothes, sweaters, and jeans. What was going on there? I even saw people wearing blue jeans and T-shits. I appreciate people who try to express their personality through clothes but anyway I believe clothes have to fit the occasion.

Up to me, the ladies dresses that fitted the shareholder's meeting were those ladies dresses with stylish and simple design, which were complemented with refined accessories. The women who were wearing such ladies dresses had found a way to demonstrate their tasteful choice. They seemed to be self-assured and proud.

Contrariwise, women who were overdressed gave a sense of being unsure of themselves. Women who were trying show a youthful appearance were in fact leaving the impression of not caring.

I believe these women were not aware of how strong impression they may leave with their ladies dresses. I draw myself many conclusions. Based on ladies dresses choice, I can guess what a woman's character is. For example, if I see a woman dressed in her daughter's clothes, I think to myself that may be she is very desperate of losing her youth.

A Basic Guide to Vintage Clothing

Vintage clothing.

Ten years ago, the words conjured up images of clothing worn by your grandmother when she was your age. But in the last few years, vintage has become hot, hot, hot as celebrities, socialites, and more and more ordinary women clamor to resale shops to take part of this trend. Why is it so popular? And why should you care?

Because vintage means value. You can get great, unique clothing, often at bargain-basement prices. All you have to do is act fast and keep your eyes open.

The word "vintage" is bandied about so much these days, you'd think that anything that isn't current season is vintage. That's not technically true. There are several distinct categories of secondhand clothes, including:

Antique--Generally, anything prior to 1920. These usually run small in size and are made of delicate fabrics. These are often bought as investment pieces to display and not to wear.

Vintage--Clothing from the 1920's to roughly the mid-1970's.

Consignment--Current or near-current styles, usually less than three years old. Some vintage pieces can and do end up in consignment shops, particularly handbags, jewelry, and shoes.

Thrift--A term usually applied to clothes donated for charitable resale at such places like Salvation Army and Goodwill. May also apply to inexpensive goods sold at flea markets.

Resale, Secondhand, Used--Catch-all phrases for all of the above.

So what can you do with vintage clothes? Here are a couple of ideas:

Special Occasion

Have a big social event coming up, like a reunion, ball, wedding, or charity function? Why not make an entrance in a smashing gown from the 1930's? Or a sexy number from the 1950's? This is one of the biggest enticements for celebrities and socialites. A head turning, unique look at a bargain-basement price.

Costume

If you have a costumed event coming up, wearing vintage clothes will lend authenticity. Whether it's a costumed ball or a period play, wearing clothes from the era will make you feel as if you've been transported back in time.

Income Opportunity

Want to make money buying and selling used clothes? Try the online auction scene. Online auctions are hot-hot-hot, and you can profit from the fun if you have an eye for a bargain and a few hours a week.

The fastest way to get started? Take a look at what's available on eBay.com, then grab one of the many "How to Sell on eBay" guides and explore all the possibilities. Start with stuff from your own closet, then buy and sell other stuff you find in your town or on your travels. It's a great way to make a little extra money.

Vintage clothing is beautiful and unique and can offer terrific value depending on the piece. Vintage clothes are also a cost-effective way to celebrate yesterday's fashions while creating your own personal style. How To Choose The Lingerie Colors That Will Make You Sizzle

You've had your eye on the perfect little nightgown and panty set or the full out cabaret inspired corset that you are sure will drive him wild. You've broken out the tailor's measure and taken all your measurements. You've made all the calls to the specialty boutiques and know exactly which roads to take to go to get it. In a word, you're set, but wait!

Have you thought about which color you should get it in? Color choice either makes an outfit explode like a firecracker or it makes it fizzle like a dud. Sure, you could always just buy black and white, but that would lead to a pretty boring collection of lingerie after a while. After all, who eats only chocolate and vanilla ice cream when you can mix it up with flavors like cookies and cream or rocky road?

When you are going to choose a color for lingerie, you need to work with what you have. Consider your hair, eyes, and skin. You will want to build off of these, either contrasting or accentuating, to make yourself look positively dynamite. Play your cards right and you could bring down buildings.

Start by thinking about your hair. Are you a blonde? A brunette? Blondes will be best complemented by soft, light colors, like the pastels. These work with and do not drown out their natural hair color. If you go too dark, you can even draw attention away from your face, which will make you less sexy. For brunettes, stronger colors work better. Earth tones and vibrant prints can make a dark haired woman sizzle. Redheads should go with colors that have a bit of spark to them, like red, vibrant blues, and lively greens. Remember, you are trying to accentuate your attributes, not hide them. It is that special something about you that makes you sexy, not the lingerie. Lingerie is about bringing your inner sexiness to the surface.

Now, move on to your eyes. The color of your eyes can be the determining factor in deciding on lingerie color. In general, ladies with blue eyes can choose a shade of blue from the most light to the most dark. Given the range of the color blue, you should see how wide a range you have!

Also try out brown or a mixture of browns and blues, which can also complement your eyes. Women with green eyes can, following the same logic, use anything that is green. But also some reds, or floral prints that have mixtures of reds and greens can be very pleasing on a green eyed lady. People with hazel eyes are lucky; they can use all earth tones, greens, and blues. When you are choosing your lingerie, think about emphasizing your eyes, because they are one of your sexiest assets.

Finally, think about your skin tone. You don’t want to choose a lingerie color that will overpower your natural skin color, nor do you want to choose one that will blend in with you. Fair complexioned women are advised to stick to pastels and powder colors, unless you are matching your hair or eye color, which can create an air of effervescent beauty. Women have a more mid range skin color can choose stronger colors, but, as always, use your hair and eye color as a guide. Women who have dark skin have a wide selection of options available to them. Light colors will offer a stark contrast and make you skin stand out, which can be quite alluring. Ladies with darker skin can also use darker colors if they like. For a more exotic twist, try a daring pattern that will wow him!
